Ann Muasa

Ann has championed for the adoption and inclusion of SDGs into the day-to-day company operations and as a result, we are most pleased that they even improved our CSR commitments. Today, we have a Ksh.5 million endowment policy with KCA University Foundation (in line with SDG 4 - Quality Education), 60% of our entire workforce comprises of women, including management (SDG 5 - Gender Equality, and UN Women WEPS signatory), 50% of our business involves re-using/re-cycling and have solar lights, have opted for traditional methods of cleaning as opposed to use of laundry machines (SDG 13 - Climate Action), AND we partner with other like-minded individuals and organizations to conduct clean-up exercises, plant trees and learn about human activities that derail our planet (SDG 17 - Partnership for the Goals and membership to the UN Global Compact Network).
Through her efforts, we have now incorporated Sustainability education/training to our staff, alongside our HSE inductions. Further, 15 members of our office staff are currently enrolled at the UN Global Compact sustainability Academy.
Her efforts have enlightened us and given us the confidence to move forward, not just as a business, but as an organization committed to better business practices that care about the planet.
