AMINA MOHAMED ABDI

Amina Mohamed Abdi is the founder of Jiinue Women Initiative , a women-led initiative in Garissa County focused on creating opportunities through innovation, entrepreneurship and value addition.
Amina is a passionate mentor and champion of camel milk value addition, working to turn locally available camel milk into innovative, marketable and nutritious products. Through Jiinue, she is championing YOGO, a unique camel milk product developed for both nutritional and commercial purposes.
Her work is driven by the belief that local resources can create both better livelihoods and better nutrition when communities are supported to add value to what they already have. Through entrepreneurship, mentorship and innovation, Amina seeks to empower women and young people to see business opportunities within their own communities.
